Rachel Goodwin sang 'Autumnal Blues'. Rachel has a solo career with
an excellent album ('Hey'). She also is in the band 'Waking the Witch' which
features 3 more top class female vocalists. For more information on Rachel, and
do investigate her album go here
CJ Smith sang the finale - 'Sweeter Life'. CJ has many threads to
his musical career. He was the the front man of the fine blues outfit the
'King Ivory Band' which recently disbanded following the tragic death from
cancer of dear Bob Duesbury. He also appears in albums by Blues Plus and does
duo/trio gigs wth a guitarist and an organ player. CJ's solo album 'Hallowed
Ground' was released a couple of years ago and has been widely acclaimed. For
more on 'Hallowed Ground' and CJ's details go
here.
Dave Vermond sang 'the River'. Dave writes great songs, plays
guitar and sings. He has an excellent solo act that is well worth catching.
Also he fronts a country rock band called 'the Recividists' who do gigs in
the area. I don't think Dave has a web presence, if you want to contact him,
please do it through
here.
Andy Standley played harmonica on a couple of tracks. Andy is an
interesting and individual player. I have always admired his personal
and unique style on the instrument. He is rehearsing in a band that is, as
yet, un-named. Formerly he was in 'Formicarium'. If you want to contact him,
please do it through
here.
Hugh Whitaker played drums and percussion where stated. Hugh has a
long and illustrious past. He was in the Hull band, 'the Gargoyles' and then
the famous 'Housemartins'. He is simply the best drummer and among the top
musicians I have ever encountered. He also was great in offering advice
and guidance. He is playing in 'Percy' and has other projects on the go. A
great musician and a great mate! If you want to contact him, please do it
through
here.
Ian Watkinson played Tabla on 'the River'. Ian is a fan of things
oriental and has a keen interest in the tabla and Indian music in general. He
doesn't really 'play out' at all and it took a lot of persuasion to get him to
play the part. Definitely worth it. If you want to contact him, please do it
through
here.
